A COVID-19 Update For Our Zarraffa’s Community

We would like to update our valued Zarraffa’s Coffee customers on the evolving COVID-19 Coronavirus situation, and the precautions we are taking at this time.

Takeaway Orders

From 12pm on Monday 23rd March 2020, all Zarraffa’s stores will only be able to serve you beverages and food that is takeaway.

In line with COVID-19 restrictions imposed overnight, we will also be removing all our dine-in tables and chairs, and stores will also have a maximum allowance of people for each location.

The number of people allowed under the new measures at each store will vary, depending on the area within. The maximum number will be displayed upon entry, to comply with the 4m2 distancing measures.

Stores will implement markings on the floor to help guide you with these new social distancing measures, will remove tables and chairs to help comply, and place signs around the stores to be as helpful as possible. But this may take time to roll across all our locations so please don’t hesitate to ask a team member if you are unsure.

The GOOD NEWS is you can still enjoy all your Zarraffa’s favourites by visiting our stores or drive thrus.

These are tough times and we’re here to help support you in your day with your favourite beverage or snack, or a little (socially distanced) chat while you wait for your daily grind, to-go.

We’re all in this together and we’ve got your back at over 80 locations in Queensland, NSW and WA.

The safety of our customers and staff remains our top priority

While we have already taken precautionary steps to increase cleaning and sanitising procedures, our stores will also be introducing a number of new measures, including:

  • Updated food handling procedures and more frequent cleaning.

  • Social distancing of 4m2 and a maximum allowance of people for each location.

  • Serving you beverages and food that is takeaway-only.

  • Our stores will not be accepting reusable cups to minimise risks to health and safety.

  • Cash payments will continue to be accepted for now but we wish to encourage you to ‘tap and go’ if possible.

  • Z Cards will continue to be accepted and as a measure to eliminate contact, we ask that your Z Card be presented for our barista to manually enter in the membership number.

  • Crockery will not be provided in store; instead we’ll be opting for takeaway packaging.

  • Stirrers, spoons, sugar packets and coffee lids will be available on request, rather than located in our Sugar Bar area.

  • Roastery Tours (hosted at our Eagleby Head Office) will be cancelled temporarily.

  • Our Roastery and Warehouse has been zoned to minimise contact with staff and for deliveries.

As we navigate through this developing situation, our individual stores may initially need to implement additional measures to ensure that we’re providing the best care possible to you, our customers. Store closures are a last resort and will only occur if we feel that it is in the best interests of our customers and staff.

Our thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected by Coronavirus. We have immense respect and admiration for those healthcare workers, community organisations and government bodies who are on the front line working hard to contain it.

For those working at home, our Roastery website is available for Online Orders and all of our stores remain open at this point in time.
