United Blends of Zarraffa's- Because Local Matters

Passion isn’t something in short supply when you meet the two young entrepreneurs who own the Zarraffa’s Toowoomba North store.

After beginning their Zarraffa’s journey in 2017, Ashley Byers and Jordan Wyborn have gone from strength to strength recently opening their second store in Redbank Plains, their first drive thru site.

“We have been wanting the challenge to be multi-site Franchisees for some time now so when the opportunity arose to purchase the Redbank Plains store, we couldn’t resist”, said Ashley and Jordan.

“Purchasing a new store is always going to have its challenges but so far it’s been an extremely positive experience with the support of Zarraffa’s Head Office and an amazing team behind us.”

Proving their place as a much-loved coffee stop, the pair have received the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award at the 2017 and 2018 Zarraffa’s National Franchise Conferences and recently have been named ‘Toowoomba’s Best Café’ by local news outlet The Chronicle, as voted by the Toowoomba community.

“We have established such a strong, diverse team in Toowoomba who work hard every day to not only create an individually perfect cup of coffee, but ensure they provide the true Zarraffa’s Coffee experience.”

50km down the highway, surrounded by fields of sugar cane and bright yellow sunflowers, you may find yourself in the town of Allora, more affectionately known as ‘The Best Little Town on the Darling Downs’. Home to the Mullins family farm, Andrew, Naomi and their son Ned are among the 215 dairy farmers that make up the Norco co-op.

Mother nature often throws unexpected curve balls at our Aussie farmers. Over the last few years, the Mullins family have borne the brunt of the drought with many days requiring them to dig deep and demanding resilience.

With Andrew being a fifth-generation dairy farmer, knowledge and experience are among his best skills, but his passion tops the lot.

It’s this passion that has ensured the quality production of over 2.4 million litres of milk annually.

“One thing we will never sacrifice, no matter the weather conditions, is the quality of the product that our farm produces,” said the Mullins Family.

Enjoying your favourite brew from your closest Zarraffa’s store now comes with the added bonus of supporting local Aussie farmers, local businesses and their communities too.

“We have received so much positive feedback from our customers since we’ve made the switch to join Norco in late 2020. The products are truly next level and once you try their milk you’ll never go back,” explained Ashley and Jordan.

Together, Zarraffa’s and Norco share in over 150 years of being proudly 100% Australian owned and operated.

“Owning, operating and being part of a Franchise, which is also Australian-owned and operated makes us prouder than anything. To have the support of a family corporate business such as Zarraffa’s is like no other in the industry.”
