History

Zarraffa's Coffee, established in 1996, was originally a roasting house operating from the backstreets of Southport on the Gold Coast. Customers would come in for their coffee and enjoy a fresh brew from the comfort of a hessian bag full of green coffee beans yet to be roasted into perfection by founder and Director, Kenton Campbell.

Born in 1997 from a dream once had by Kenton Campbell, Zarraffa's Coffee came about from a $9,000 personal loan and some good old fashioned leg work. After much research into the Australian coffee market, Kenton singled out the Gold Coast as the foundation for the realization of his dream, and in true Aussie style 'gave it a go'.
 
The first Zarraffa's Coffee store opened on July 25th, 1997 on Level 1 in Australia Fair Shopping Centre and today, the flagship store still remains, now on the Ground Level.

Since then, the Zarraffa's Coffee experience has become something of an icon to many Gold Coasters and moreover many Queenslanders residing in the South-eastern corner. 'We strive to create an individually perfect cup of coffee - every time' is our mission and our customers' expectation. Great service is our practice and fresh, quality coffee our business.
